Kitchen Cops: Food stored at unsafe temps at Mexican restaurant

SAN ANTONIO -- Which San Antonio restaurant needs some work in the kitchen and which one earned a blue plate from us? The Kitchen Cops found out.

Inspectors gave Taqueria Vallarta at 829 South General McMullen 20 demerits. A report shows violations included raw meat found sitting above containers of ready to eat food, which is a health hazard; uncovered containers of produce found sitting right underneath the air conditioner in walk-in cooler; and some of the food wasn't being stored at a safe temperature. ...
